Now that you can make 3D books, you can easily make beautiful bookstacks and embellish them with clay pieces of your choosing - whether it be leaves, flowers or something more personal
Our Top Tips for success!
- Make sure your clay is well conditioned before making your book covers to avoid them cracking when you fold the covers over
- For aged looking books, you can use clay colours such as ecru or latte. To age further, try dusting the edges of your pages with dark brown soft pastels or pigment powders
- To embed your eye pin in your bookstack without using glue, you can push the pin through 2 of your books, bend the bottom of the pin, then place that end on your third book. The baking process will make the books stick together and the bend in the pin will stop the pin from sliding out
